This time, like all times, is a good time, if we but know what to do with it.   --Ralph Waldo Emerson

Media pundits are always trying to define our times—boom times, recessions, times of uncertainty and anxiety, or confidence and hope. But as Ralph Waldo Emerson, the American poet and Transcendentalist philosopher noted, we can transform bad times into good ones once we have the knowledge and experience to do so.

That’s our mission at My Senior Lending Network; to provide you with information and strategies to help make this a good time for you, no matter what life throws your way. So in our “Graying Anatomy” segment, for example, we give you advice on how to combat “senior moments” by boosting your brain power with physical and mental exercises.

In our “Homing Instincts” segment, we explain how to clear out the clutter in your home, allowing you to move on with renewed energy—in control of your retirement years. In “Financial Footings” we offer some simple tips to cut costs and save more, so you can be prepared in the event of the recession some economists are predicting is on its way.

Meanwhile, in “The Unretiring Life” we provide useful tips for tailoring the resumes of “working retired” folks—those retirees who are looking to return to work but feel as scrutinized as students coming out of college in search of their first job. Plus, we point out some simple ways that grandparents can navigate the complexities of caregiving for grandchildren.

Are there other topics we’ve missed, ones that would help make your good times even better? Send me your thoughts and questions at info@mysln.com.
